Lawrence Wong Accepts Carrie Wong’s Apology After She Badmouth Him

Mediacorp stars Ian Fang and Carrie Wong recently came under fire after their steamy texts and private conversations spread like wildfire online.

Part of their private conversation also happen to centre around Lawrence Wong of “Story of Yanxi Palace” fame. In the text, Carrie commented that Lawrence wouldn’t be able to live up to the late Aloysius Pang’s legacy as his replacement in “My One In A Million”.

Lawrence seemingly clapped back via a Instagram post (above) in which he detailed how he came from nothing and had to work from the ground up. His manager Roger Ho also revealed that the actor was aware of Carrie’s shady remarks since last Thursday.

However, Lawrence has decided to forgive Carrie after she personally reached out to him. “She was very calm when she apologised and I am grateful that she has been gracious in her apology. It’s understandable and I won’t hold a grudge. All that matters is that everyone is focused on completing the show,” the 30-year-old actor was quoted as saying.

Carrie also took to her Instagram to publicly apologise, thanking Lawrence for being the bigger person. “Thank you for being the bigger person. Despite everything you lend me your listening ear and offer me words of encouragement. I’ve learned and will keep learning. Once again, I’m sorry,” she wrote.

Her followers supported her apology and even offered their sympathy. Boyfriend Boris Lin also commented on her post: “I will always be on your side.”
