The long awaited day has finally arrived for celebrity couple Laurinda Ho (何超莲) and Shawn Dou (窦骁). Today (18th April), the late Hong Kong Casino King Stanley Ho (何鸿燊)’s daughter has officially wedded her boyfriend of four years!
While we knew it was going to be a grand wedding, photos of the venue, their wedding return gifts and pre-wedding party have already lived up to our expectations. Additionally, the couple has already released a few photos from their betrothal ceremony (Guo Da Li , 过大礼).
Laurinda Ho and Shawn Dou shared their good news earlier this month, adding that they would be holding their wedding on 18th April in Bali. It was also reported that the couple spent about HKD 50mil (~RM28 million) on the wedding, from its venue to Laurinda’s hand-made wedding dress. Well, it was certainly money well spent!
According to some netizens who were coincidently staying at the same hotel where their wedding was to take place, preparations for the wedding had already gotten underway. The location was gorgeously decorated with pieces like a giant crystal chandelier and a grand piano, and was slated to take place next to an infinity pool, overlooking the ocean.
While the wedding reportedly took place today, the couple apparently had a pre-wedding party before their big day. Friends and family could be seen enjoying themselves in the photos while Laurinda and Shawn bustled around the party, interacting with their guests.
That wasn’t all that got released. Someone also uploaded the wedding return gifts and needless to say, their gifts were fairly extravagant! From the photo, it can be seen that Laurinda and Shawn took great care to pamper their guests. Wedding guests received a luxury brand day and night cream, perfume, chocolate, custom made silk eye mask and slippers . The gift alone reportedly cost over HKD 5,000 (~RM2,800).
A card which accompanied the gift leaves guests a sweet message from Laurinda Ho and Shawn Do. It introduces the couple as DouDou and DaDa, and reads: “Hello, we are about to start a new chapter of (our) lives~ We are very happy to share our joy with you. We will share the wind and rain, and bask in the sunshine (together). We will become (a) better (person) for each other. Thank you for your company and support along (our journey).”
Photos of their wedding have yet to be released. However, the couple uploaded photos from their traditional betrothal ceremony today. It mainly shows the two in traditional dress going through the ceremony. Additionally, the duo also took photos with their parents to commemorate the celebration.
