Yesterday (Tuesday, 14th September) a Twitter user revealed that a well-known Korean fast food chain, Kyochon allegedly allowed partially vaccinated customers to enter and dine-in at their restaurant.

The incident was believed to have happened at the Kyochon outlet in Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur. Twitter user Kylian (@mumuedstar) revealed that he canceled his intention to enter the food premise after learning that the restaurant had agreed to allow families who had not been fully vaccinated to dine in.

“Kyochon Mid Valley letting partially vaccinated families to dine in. Immediately canceled and went to another restaurant,” he wrote. Following that, Kyochon Malaysia responded to the Tweet to provide feedback on the complaint.

Kyochon Malaysia, through its official Twitter account, remarked that they have already sent a private message to Kylian to get more information regarding the issue. The famous Korean fast food outlet also remarked that they are conducting a detailed investigation into the branch.

“Hi Kylian, we have PM you regarding this incident and we would love for you to get back to us with more information that can assist us further. In the meantime, we have an ongoing investigation on the outlet regarding this situation. Thank you,” the reply read.

The government has previously set guidelines for premises that have been found to breach the SOPs including allowing partially vaccinated customers to dine-in at the premises to be ordered to close immediately.
