#KualaLumpur: Come Hang Out At KL Tower’s New Upside Down House

by Justin
July 13, 2016

Yes, yes we know. Life can sometimes turn you upside down, so can a house.

If you enjoy hanging upside down while standing on the “ceiling”, or appear as a giant in a supposedly small room, then you need to drop what you’re doing and start making plans to visit the new Upside Down House at KL Tower.

The Kuala Lumpur Upside Down House, which opened its doors to the public last month (8th June), has a height of 6.1m (20 feet) and an area of 2,000 square feet. Made of 80% steel while the rest was of wood, the medium-sized English cottage is a double-storey house complete with bedrooms, bathrooms, a living room and kitchen; except everything is upside down.

Think of beds and sofas on the “ceiling” while carpets and light-shades on the “floor”. Add to your bewildered pose and (voila!), you’ve got the perfect upside down image to upload on Instagram and other social media outlets. But before you enter this unique house, there will be a suspended bright yellow car ready to greet you upon arrival.

In case you didn’t know, this art installation is now Malaysia’s tallest upside down house. If that’s not impressive enough, there’s also an upside down garden currently in the works, so city folks and tourists can soon get double doses of upside down photos.

In the meantime, be sure to take advantage of their opening promotions. The details for this tourist attraction site are as follows:

  • Time: Open daily, 9am-7pm
  • Address: Menara Kuala Lumpur , 50250 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur
  • Contact number: +6010-802 7547 (Miss Ai)
  • Admission fees (until 4th Aug 2016): Adults, RM15; Children, RM10
