For this upcoming festive season, spend your holidays with Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) and its Chinese New Excursion train service! Running for two days, this exclusive train service will surely bring delightful memories for you and your family!

KTMB announced the limited-time train service as part of their ongoing “Railway To See Malaysia (RTSM) Excursion Train” programme. The train service will operate on 27th and 28th January 2025 (Monday and Tuesday) in conjunction with the upcoming CNY celebrations. According to the official statement, there are two special round trips with 792 tickets offered.

The special train will run between the KL Sentral and Butterworth stations, with intermediate stops at the Tanjung Malim, Kampar, Batu Gajah, Ipoh, Kuala Kangsar, Taiping and Bukit Mertajam stations. The one-away fares for these trains are as low as RM60 for superior class seats and RM90 for premier class seats.

In addition to the train ride, passengers can enjoy a unique experience with the facilities in the buffet and chillax coaches. KTMB Group chief executive officer Rani Hisham said he hopes the special train would help reduce road congestion and provide a more comfortable journey, especially for elderly passengers and children.

Tickets will be available on the KTMB website from 21st January 2025 (Tuesday) onwards until stocks last. There are also options for cashless ticket purchases through the KTMB Mobile application (KITS), kiosk machines and ticket counters. However, please note that the fare doesn’t include meals, beverages or travel packages.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity from KTMB to celebrate CNY without worrying about traffic. We also hope to see more from KTMB’s “Railway To See Malaysia (RTSM) Excursion Train” programme.
