Malaysians who grew up in the 1990s will surely remember KRU, as they were one of the biggest boybands in the country. Known for hits such as “Awas” and “Fanatik”, the group disbanded in 2018 after 25 years but they did not retire from the entertainment industry. Instead, the brothers shifted their focus to growing their business empire, KRU Studios, with each specialising in their respective fields.
In 2024, after a six-year hiatus, KRU not only returned to the scene with new music but are also planning something big for their fans. Yesterday (Monday, 16th December), it was officially announced that the boyband will be holding a comeback concert in 2025!

Last month, KRU released their single “Voodoo” along with a music video, marking their return to the music scene. The dance track serves as the lead single for their upcoming album “Kaset”, which is slated for release in 2025. To promote their latest project, the 3-brother group will take the stage once more in Kuala Lumpur, inviting fans to witness them live in concert. Here are the details for the upcoming show:

According to the announcement post, tickets will be sold on www.ticket2u.com.my starting this Friday (20th December) from 11am onwards. Please note that there is also a dress code, as the upcoming concert has a 90s theme. So, for millennials, if you’ve been waiting for the opportunity to wear some of your old outfits (if you still have them), now’s your chance! Otherwise, it’s time to go thrift shopping.
