Following the news of Kris Wu (吳亦凡)’s detainment on 31st July, Beijing Police has continued to investigate allegations made against him of luring and raping underaged girls. The controversy started when his old flame, Du Meizhu (都美竹) disclosed and outed him on social media along with multiple other young women coming forward with similar experiences.

The Chinese police have apparently found evidence that the 30-year-old singer’s youngest victim was a 13-year-old girl. The evidence was reportedly discovered from Kris’s deleted text messages with his team and friends. The police recovered the video evidence which points to the singer sexually assaulting a 13-year-old from Shanghai. The video shows an unconscious young girl being brought into a hotel by individuals who are identified as the celeb’s staff.

As the case is still under investigation, Kris’s studio has yet to respond to these new suspicions. The Canadian singer was reportedly detained for nine charges that includes gang rape, sexual bribery, illegal sex filming, and exploitation of drug rape. The allegations made against Kris Wu sparked an instant uproar online and sent shockwaves throughout the Chinese social media.

Kris Wu’s disgusting behaviour has been hugely criticised and condemned as the government ensures that his Canadian citizenship would not secure him against the Chinese law. The aftermath of his scandal has also severed his ties with major brands and many opted on deleting his mention in their Twitter-like social media account Weibo. The singer’s and his studio’s Weibo and other Chinese social media accounts have also been shut down.

Kris Wu was also removed from the cast list of his works. His wax statue at the Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum in Shanghai was rumoured to be dressed in a prison uniform. It was then clarified that Kris Wu’s original statue was already removed and that the photo of his wax figure in the prison outfit is fake.

Kris Wu and his studio’s Weibo accounts have been shut down for “complaints in violating the law and regulations and Weibo’s Community Convention”. His accounts on Douyin and NetEase Music are reportedly no longer available either. pic.twitter.com/gCTBLMMMd5

It was also reported that some of Kris Wu’s fans were still defending the singer and were gathering to visit him at the detention centre. They even begged for the singer to be released and offered themselves in exchange for Kris Wu’s freedom.

In related news about Kris Wu, rumours circulated that the former EXO member allegedly mentioned the involvement of Wilber Pan and JJ Lin with drugs and them staying at a brothel together. They were also rumoured to be with Kris when he preyed on minors.

Both parties denied the accusations and issued official statements stating that legal action will be taken against any defamatory claims about both celebrities. JJ Lin’s JFJ Productions and Wilber’s work studio both issued a statement to deny the allegations.

“We ask that you delete and cease dissemination of the false information about JJ Lin immediately. Our firm will collect relevant evidence and take immediate legal action against netizens who are suspected of infringing on JJ Lin’s legal rights [and] reputation,” read the statement from JFJ Productions.

Kris has reportedly ‘snitched’ and provided the names of other male celebrities to the Chinese police in hopes of getting away with lighter punishment.
