It appears another Korean band will be performing in Malaysia this year! South Korean indie rock band Silica Gel (실리카겔) recently announced their new Asia tour, and they’re bringing the tour to Kuala Lumpur!
On 21st May 2026 (Thursday), Silica Gel announced their new Asia tour, titled “Syn.THE.Size: Ballad of You”. The tour includes several stops across the region, including Seoul, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur. The KL show will take place on 11th October 2026 (Sunday). More details, including venue and ticketing, will be announced at a later date.
This upcoming show marks Silica Gel’s first performance in Malaysia. The band debuted in 2017 and has been steadily gaining popularity in recent years, thanks to works like “Power Andre 999” and “Machine Boy”. Silica Gel has also won multiple awards, including “Best Modern Rock Song” at the Korean Music Awards. Here’s what we know about their KL show so far:
