Oh no, not another death news! It has been reported that Korean broadcasting jockey (BJ) Park So Eun (박소은) has sadly departed from this world after she committed suicide last week.

Korean news outlet OSEN first came out with an exclusive report about the news on Monday (13th July). Not long after that, So Eun’s younger sister confirmed the unfortunate news on her channel.

For those interested, feel free to read her full statement here:

“Hello, this is So Eun’s dongsaeng (little sister). I didn’t know what to say at first. I only write this now because everything has finally been sorted out. My sister has left the world and became a shining star in the sky last week. I’m really sorry, I couldn’t inform this sad passing earlier to everyone.”

The sister further explained that So Eun had actually suffered from hateful comments bombarded by online trolls, which probably led to her tragic passing. The sibling explained, “My older sister was suffering from malicious comments. I hope you would think of my older sister and refrain from writing negative remarks from now on. My family is still suffering now.”

For those who don’t know, the late So Eun found fame as one of the most popular BJs in the country. According to Jazmine, she moved to online streaming AfreecaTV recently and revealed that she earned a whopping amount of US$50,000 (approx. RM213,575) just by doing live broadcasts.

Our hearts and prayers go to the family members of the deceased during this tough time. Rest in peace. 🙁
