Wonderfully curated open-flame meals are now available to enjoy 6,000 feet above sea level at Kool Grill, a newly opened barbecue-meets-local concept restaurant at Genting SkyWorlds. Conveniently located at the entrance of the renowned outdoor theme park, Kool Grill offers a trendy, cosy, and relaxing atmosphere with its white interiors and furnishings. Nestled in a corner of the bustling theme park walkway amidst attractions, the vibrant dining space is ideal for small groups and families.
As the name suggests, many of the menu items at Kool Grill are barbecue or grill-inspired. The restaurant is built on the concept of modernising the experience of local favourites, reimagining hawker classics to present a unique twist on some of Malaysia’s most beloved flavours and dishes.
Spearheaded by Executive Chef Muhamad Muhader Bin Wahi Anour (Chef Aidil), who is the custodian of Resorts World Genting’s heritage flavours, Kool Grill currently offers eight delicious, casual dining confluences of East and West fusion menu items to satisfy parkgoers’ appetites for value-for-money bites. As his overarching responsibility is to ensure that local food served at Resorts World Genting does not deviate from its original, authentic taste and flavour, Chef Aidil has at Kool Grill carefully deconstructed traditional flavours to focus on taste profiles, which he then pairs with Western counterparts to present a modern East-West combination.
Indulge in flavour-bomb menu creations like the signature Nasi Lemak BBQ Chicken Pizza, which features succulent shrimp in spicy chilli paste and savoury BBQ chicken sausage on a bed of fragrant coconut rice topped with fresh cucumber slices, crunchy peanuts and anchovies; BBQ Satay Sausage Chicken, which is essentially juicy chicken sausage grilled to perfection with a smoky BBQ glaze served alongside a rich and creamy peanut sauce; and Smoky Cayenne Pulled Beef on Black Brioche, which features savoury and tender pulled beef infused with smoky BBQ and a hint of cayenne pepper sandwiched in a warm charcoal bun.
Other classics include Wok-fried Honey BBQ Chicken Drumettes; Kung Pao Flavour Bombs which are perfectly deep-fried seafood dumplings served with spicy kung pao sauce; Tandoori Magic with Flat Bread which features smoked tandoori chicken marinated in a rich blend of spices, grilled to perfection and served alongside refreshing cucumber salad, seasonal mixed vegetables and flatbread; Korean Ssamjang Beef BBQ pie which spotlights tender beef in rich ssamjang sauce, complemented by sweet green peas, hearty potatoes and aromatic onions in a savoury pie topped with melted cheese and served with crispy chips; and Satay BBQ Chicken Pizza which is essentially tender chicken marinated in rich satay spices, drizzled with creamy peanut sauce and topped with cucumber slices, anchovies and cheese – all beautifully presented on pinewood slabs! Guests can also purchase a value set comprising one main dish with a hot or cold drink (mocktails excluded).
Kool Grill’s innovative blend of culinary artistry has been specially curated to appeal to local palates as well as international visitors as a gastronomic twist on heritage flavours while ensuring quality, affordability and enjoyment for Genting SkyWorlds visitors. Kool Grill’s opening hours are from 10am till 6pm daily.
