KIIRAS’ LingLing (링링/黃羚棱) made history as not only the first Malaysian female K-pop idol but also the first Malaysian to lead a K-pop group. The idols were recently in Malaysia, making a special appearance at the FILA “LOVE:ALL” launch event at Sunway Pyramid, as well as performing at “The Music Journey 2 Roadshow” showcase.
The rookie group has been doing well so far, and it appears their leader is set to make another appearance for a momentous occasion. Over the long weekend, the ASEAN Youth Organisation Korea announced that the Klang-born star will take part online in an upcoming event. Here are the details:

The ASEAN Youth Organisation Chapter South Korea has announced its upcoming programme, “ASEAN Voices In K-pop”. The webinar aims to bridge K-culture and ASEAN youth, exploring the rise of the Korean Wave (Hallyu) across Southeast Asia and its significance for young people today.
“We’re bringing together both expert insights and lived experiences to spark meaningful conversations about music, identity and cultural exchange 🌏🎶,” the organisers wrote in their caption. It has been confirmed that KIIRAS leader LingLing will join the online panel, where she will share her personal journey as an ASEAN artist navigating the global K-pop scene.
