A couple of months ago, concert organiser Dream Factory Entertainment revealed on Instagram that a full-scale K-pop event would take place later this year, describing it as “Malaysia’s biggest K-pop music festival”. They even hinted that an idol would soon be making his return to Malaysia for the festival.
Since then, many have speculated about who the mystery idol could be, with the majority guessing BIGBANG’s Taeyang. We are now closer to getting answers, as the organiser has released more details about the festival. Here’s what we know so far:
Last night (Monday, 1st September), Dream Factory Entertainment officially announced that the KFinity Music Festival 2025 will take place on 1st November (Saturday), in Kuala Lumpur. No other details were revealed, apart from the date, but that was not what fans were discussing online. Naturally, being a music festival, K-pop lovers were eager to know which artists would be part of the official line-up.
Although no performers have yet been confirmed for the event, the organiser has shared a poll inviting fans to vote for the acts they would like to see at the show. The poll, hosted on the company’s official Instagram channel, featured a number of legendary K-pop groups and idols, sparking even more excitement. The artists include:
- 2NE1
- AKMU
- APink
- Henry Lau
- EXID
- GFriend

Here’s a fun fact: all of the idols listed have performed in Malaysia at least once, so depending on the votes, there is a strong possibility they could return to KL for the upcoming KFinity Music Festival 2025. That said, it is worth noting that there may also be another round of voting, which could feature a different line-up of K-pop idols. With that in mind, any of these legendary performers could end up headlining the festival.
For now, however, nothing has been confirmed, but that wouldn’t stop fans from voting for their favourites in the poll. Guess we’ll have to wait and see for more updates in the near future. Who would you like to see perform at KFinity Music Festival 2025?
