That said, Leona has once again come under massive fire over a post she shared on her Instagram recently. She uploaded a series of photos during her visit to The Blue Lagoon geothermal spa in Iceland. “Such a cool experience 😶🌫️🤍,” the daughter to actor Azhar Sulaiman captioned her post.
In the posting, Leona could be seen taking a dip in a hot tub. The internet celeb turned heads with her bold choice of outfits. She wore a pink halter neck bikini, showing off her bare back for everyone to see. Unsurprisingly, some netizens didn’t react too kindly to Leona’s post. Most of them took to the comments to call the 21-year-old out for showing too much skin, especially during the month of Ramadan.
“Even as a non-Muslim, I’d feel a bit guilty for showing so much skin during Ramadan instead of respecting the holy month and my Muslim friends. But you got balls of steel bro 😭” one netizen wrote. Some even compared Leona and trans figure Nur Sajat. According to one commenter, “Even Sajat (who’s now an Aussie) knows how to keep her boundaries during the Holy month. Why don’t you limit yourself to only one month. After that, people won’t mind if you upload your nude pics. It’s your Instagram.”
Despite the huge backlash, Leona hasn’t bothered responding to the comments left by these netizens. The criticism won’t stop coming even after Raya – that much is certain.
