If you grew up with first-generation K-pop, this is one reunion you probably did not expect to see in 2026.
Legendary girl group Fin.K.L is officially preparing to make a full-group comeback after 21 years, bringing all four members (Lee Hyori, Ock Joo Hyun, Lee Jin and Sung Yuri) back together.
On 21st September 2026, GEMSTONE E&M confirmed that all four members are preparing for a reunion under the Fin.K.L name. The company will handle the planning and management of the group’s upcoming activities while working together with the members and their respective representatives.
More Than Just A One-Time Reunion
The comeback will mark Fin.K.L’s first full-group activities since the release of their digital single “Forever Fin.K.L” in 2005.
Fans did get a special reunion in 2019 when all four members appeared together on JTBC’s reality programme “Camping Club”. They even released new music during the show, but the reunion was mainly created around the programme.
This time, things are looking a little different.
According to GEMSTONE E&M, the upcoming reunion is being planned as “a fresh start for sustainable activities,” suggesting that fans could be seeing much more from Fin.K.L than a single reunion project.
The agency also described Fin.K.L as a group with an important place in the history of South Korean popular music, adding that different activities will be revealed gradually for fans who have waited a long time to see them together again.
The Girl Group That Helped Shape Early K-POP
Fin.K.L debuted in 1998 and quickly became one of the leading girl groups of K-Pop’s first generation.
The group built a huge following during the late 1990s and early 2000s, moving between softer and youthful concepts and stronger, more confident styles. Their catalog includes memorable hits such as “Blue Rain,” “To My Boyfriend,” “Forever Love” and “Now”.
After their group activities slowed down, each member went on to build their own career. Lee Hyori continued her career as a singer and television personality while Ock Joo Hyun became well known for her work in musical theatre. Lee Jin and Sung Yuri also moved into acting and broadcasting.
Now, more than two decades after “Forever Fin.K.L”, the four women are preparing to stand together as Fin.K.L once again.
Further details about their comeback and upcoming activities have yet to be announced, but for longtime fans who have been waiting since the 2000s, 2026 is about to bring back a serious wave of K-pop nostalgia.
