2024 proves to be the year of K-pop as more Korean artists continue to announce concerts in Malaysia! Joining the list is South Korean R&B artist Dept (뎁트), who recently announced that he’ll be performing at his first solo concert in Kuala Lumpur this September!
The indie singer-songwriter will perform at The Exchange Hall in OUG on 13th September 2024 (Friday). Dept recently performed a sold-out concert in Bangkok, demonstrating his growing popularity outside South Korea. The soulful artist has also been lauded for his captivating performances and dynamic stage presence, making his shows a must-see for fans. Dept’s first Malaysian concert is organised by Banyak Bagus Entertainment and supported by Livepass Asia.
Dept, born Lee Hojeong (이호정) on 29th May 1991, debuted in the music scene in July 2016 with the single “easily”. The talented singer quickly garnered recognition for his unique blend of Pop, R&B and Soul and his eclectic fusion of R&B influences. At the heart of this artist’s music is a commitment to creating personal and resonant experiences for his listeners through emotional lyrics and captivating sounds. Dept continues to capture the public’s attention with tracks like “Van Gogh”, “Strawberry Champagne”, and his most recent release, “Summer Stranger”.
