Real estate millionaire Gianna Jun Ji Hyun (전지현) has reportedly made another purchase and it’s pretty major! Rumour has it that she had bought a shopping mall located in Seoul for 50.5 billion won (~RM170 million)!
According to a report by Biz Korea on 8th March (Tuesday), the actress recently purchased a business building in Seoul’s Deungchon-dong, Gangseo-gu, from Kookmin Bank earlier on 25th February.
The building Jun Ji Hyun bought was built in February 2019 by AM Plus Asset Development, a real estate developer jointly created by Aekyung Group and the Military Mutual Aid Association, the outlet reported. It was then sold to Kookmin Bank for 35 billion won (~RM118 million) in March last year.
The Deungchon-dong building is currently home to LG Best Shop, the official retail store for LG Electronics’ products. As revealed by business insiders, the “My Love From The Star” actress paid 22.5 million (~rm76,185) won in advance, while the remaining 28 million won (~RM94,808) was settled by Kookmin Bank as a security loan.
In September last year, the 40-year-old was reported to have sold a five-floor shopping mall in Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul for 23.5 billion won (14.9 billion won higher than the purchase price in 2008). Five months after that, Ji Hyun, who recently purchased the Deungchon-dong business building, is said to have “reinvested in real estate with the recovered amount“, KBIZoom claimed.
So far, Ji Hyun is known to have owned a number of properties in Seoul. This include her residence in I-Park Samsung, Gangnam-gu, a business property located in Ichon-dong, Yongsan-gu, a business property in Samsung-dong, Gangnam-gu, and now, an additional business property in Deungchon-dong, Gangseo-gu.
The worth of her three business properties alone is estimated at 88.8 billion KRW (~RM300 million )!
