Cocktails anyone?
For a couple of years now, Johnnie Walker® has continued to embody the spirit of progress with its iconic mantra, “Keep Walking”. This year, the brand brings this very belief to live through Step Inside the Circuit Lounge — the brand new race party platform succeeding the iconic Circuit Lounge series.
As part of this year’s Step Inside The Circuit Lounge, Johnnie Walker® brings its celebration of personal progress to a new level by getting talented individuals to share their success and passion for their careers as the brand’s Keep Walking ambassadors.
Two of the Keep Walking ambassadors are none other than the dynamic duo behind Omakase + Appreciate. Chong Yi Shawn, better know as Shawn, was crowned the local champion of the Diageo Reserve Wold Class Bartending Competition in 2011 while his partner in crime Karl Too has worked at some of the most prestigious bars in town — including Tate and Skybar.

Here are the cocktails that I learned to make:
1. Black Coconut
Refreshing and unique, this tropical concoction combines fresh coconut water and Johnnie Walker® Black Label™ in a perfect union.
Ingredients:
30ml Johnnie Walker® Black Label™
60ml fresh coconut water
Directions:
Build and serve in a rock glass over cubed ice.
Garnish with fresh coconut flesh.
Alcohol content: 9.48g alcohol per serving
2. Gold Cocoa
Perfect for chocolate lovers, this cocktail is crafted to please your tastebuds with a reveal of indulgence in every sip. This delicious cocktail is prefect to be served and indulged in at any glamorous celebrations.
Ingredients:
30ml Johnnie Walker® Gold Label Reserve™
20ml chocolate sauce
10ml caramel sauce
Ground coffee
Directions:
Make the chocolate sauce by mixing chocolate powder, sugar and water.
Combine all ingredients in a shaker and throw.
Serve over ice.
Garnish with ground coffee.
Alcohol content: 9.48g alcohol per serving
3. Black Strike
Offering a bitter sweet finish, Black Strike is hearty cocktail that brings the hints of spice and fruitiness of the Johnnie Walker® Black Label™ to life.
Ingredients:
30 ml Johnnie Walker® Black Label™
8ml Ristretto liqueur
8ml lemon juice
8ml sugar
A dash of spicy chocolate bitters
Directions:
Mix all ingredients into a shaker with ice.
Shake it.
Pour over ice in a rock glass.
Garnish with lemon slice.
Alcohol content: 12.21g alcohol per serving
