A Phoenix baby is coming! Page Six has confirmed that Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara are about to be parents soon.
The publication also revealed that the 35-year-old actress is currently 6 months into her pregnancy. The Hollywood duo have been keeping a low profile throughout the Covid-19 outbreak.
This happy announcement comes after Rooney was spotted with a baby bump while visiting her sister Kate Mara to celebrate her first Mother’s Day. Kate and husband Jamie Bell welcomed their first child – a baby girl – last May.
Rooney was photographed wearing a long sleeve baggy white shirt while carrying a lovely bouquet of flowers and a small gift bag. Both Joaquin and Rooney, who have yet to publicly confirm the pregnancy, are currently self-isolating at their home in Los Angeles.
The lovebirds first met on the set of 2012’s “Her”. However, they only began dating after reuniting for 2018’s “Mary Magdalene”. The Oscar winner initially thought Rooney “despised” him, only to find out later that she had a crush on him but was too shy to express it.
“She’s the only girl I ever looked up on the internet,” the 45-year-old actor explained. “We were just friends, email friends. I’d never done that. Never looked up a girl online.” Fast forward a few months later, they became engaged in July 2019.
