Jason Lo and his colleague have been charged yesterday (Tuesday, 1st September), for criminal breach of trust involving funds of over RM200,000.
The 45-year-old Malaysian music artist and his fellow director of Fat Boys Records Sdn Bhd both pleaded not guilty at the Sessions Court in Kuala Lumpur.
Jason Lo or “J Lo”, and Muhammad Yakub Husaini were both entrusted with funds of Fat Boys Records Sdn Bhd amounting to RM232,500, being directors of the company. They allegedly utilised the money for personal use ,which is considered as a breach of trust.
The singer, known for his song “Evening News”, could face a maximum jail term of 20 years and whipping, as well as a fine, if convicted. The court allowed the two accused a bail of RM30,000 each and has set 2nd October as the date for submitting documents.
