It was recently announced that global superstar Jackson Wang (王嘉尔/잭슨) will be making a special appearance at the grand opening ceremony of the Louis Vuitton outlet at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur this Wednesday (Today, 24th July). Fans were, obviously, over the moon about the news and some hoped that they’d catch a glimpse of the idol at the store later.
As it turns out, the “Feeling Lucky” singer has already been in town! Some lucky fans managed to spot him while he was out in public and shared their encounters on social media. While we can’t be too sure when exactly he arrived, here are some of the fan encounters that were posted yesterday:
Twitter user @/JackieHKGurl328 reposted a man’s Xiaohongshu post of his meetup with Jackson Wang in front of the TH Uptown 3 Tower in Petaling Jaya. In the captions, the user said, “Finally got to meet him! I usually do not praise men but he’s such an exception! He is Jackson Wang. His perfume smells great and is such a friendly and nice person. Even as a guy, I was so mesmerised by him. Anyway, he’s just hot!”
That wasn’t the only place the GOT7 member was spotted. Apparently, he also dined at Village Park Restaurant which was only 4 minutes away from the aforementioned tower. The co-owner of the establishment, Aishah Chong, posted a photo of her with the idol yesterday with a caption that reads, “Jack Wang loves Nasi Lemak.” Some fans also got to greet Jackson when he was walking around at The Starling Mall with his team but only 1 adorable fan managed to take a photo with him.
In a video circulating on TikTok, the 30-year-old star was shown posing for a photo with a little girl who went up to him outside of the shopping centre. While inside, some fans approached Jackson the second they caught sight of him and luckily for them, he made time to sign a few autographs.
After scrolling through social media, we found out that fans have already started gathering at Pavilion KL to catch a glimpse of Jackson later this evening so if you didn’t manage to get close to him yesterday, perhaps this would be your chance to see him in person! Just remember to be respectful and not push each other behind the barricade.
