BTS (방탄소년단) continues to show their selling power. However, this time, it’s for a good cause. Earlier this week, items worn by the K-Pop powerhouse went up for auction for charity, raising the highest amount of the entire catalogue.

On 29th July 2026 (Wednesday), renowned auction house Christie’s and advocacy organisation Global Citizen wrapped up their online charity auction, “One Goal: The Auction for the FIFA Global Citizen Charity Fund”, after a seven-day run. The auction benefits the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund. It features unique World Cup memorabilia, including the final match ball from the 2026 World Cup and items worn by the Halftime Show performers, including BTS.

According to reports, bidders from 24 nations participated in the online auction, raising USD652,630 (approximately RM2.66 million) in total. However, of all the items in the catalogue, it was the shirt Jimin (지민) wore that sold for the highest price. The custom AGRO Studio piece sold for a whopping USD110,000 (approximately RM450,000). More impressively, the shirt sold for the same price as the ball used in the final match.

J-hope’s (제이홉) custom gloves sold for USD28,600 (~RM117,000), while Suga’s (슈가) pants reached a high bid of USD33,000 (~RM134,000). Lastly, Jungkook’s (정국) jacket and V’s (뷔) scarf both had a final auction bid of USD46,200 (~RM189,000) each.

In total, the seven pieces of stage clothing and accessories from BTS’s Halftime performance sold for USD300,300 (approximately RM1.23 million). The amount accounted for about 46% of the auction’s total proceeds. Other notable lots from the auction include a signed Lionel Messi 2026 Argentina home jersey, which sold for USD66,000 (~RM269,000) and a pair of gloves worn and signed by Madonna, which had a final bid of USD41,800 (~RM170,750).

All proceeds from the online auction will be donated to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund to support grassroots organisations expanding access to quality education and sports for children in underserved communities. Julien Pradels, President of Christie’s America’s, said about the auction and the total raised, “This is a wonderful win for an important cause. Competition in our auction was as global and fierce as it was on the World Cup soccer pitch.”

It’s good to know that the money raised will benefit an important cause. Of course, the winning bidders are also getting rare memorabilia for their collection. In case you haven’t seen it, check out the FIFA World Cup Final 2026 Halftime Show:
