Sorry Petaling Jaya folks, but we come bearing sad news. Isetan Kuala Lumpur has just announced that the 1 Utama outlet will cease operations in approximately 4-5 months’ time.
In its statement, the leading Japanese retailing franchise stated that Isetan 1 Utama will officially cease operations in April 2022. While this is unfortunate, at least Isetan is giving its customers an early notice.
Fret not though, Isetan has assured that its other stores in Suria KLCC, The Gardens Mall, The Japan Store Lot 10 will remain operations. Since Isetan 1 Utama is the only outlet in Petaling Jaya, folks living in Selangor will have to travel to Kuala Lumpur once the 1 Utama store closes.
Isetan also confirmed that restaurants and other counters in the department store will also be moving out. Netizens are keeping their fingers crossed that eateries in Eat Paradise (Tonkatsu, Ichiro, and Menya Musashi) will relocate within 1 Utama Shopping Centre.
As an alternative, you can always opt for Isetan’s online store.
