Hari Raya is fast approaching. While many are eager to chow down those ketupat, rendang, and kuih-muih, Hari Raya is never complete without family reunions and gatherings. Of course, there’s a downside of it, especially when you’re bombarded with the question – “Why are you still single?”
One way to avoid such instances is perhaps renting a partner. A Malaysian man known as Boss Ketam has gone viral on TikTok after revealing that he’s currently looking for a rental girlfriend. Apparently, he’s planning to bring his “lover” back to his hometown for Hari Raya. In return, he plans to reward her handsomely if she manages to impress his family.
However, many netizens were shocked with the long list of requirements set by the TikTok user. According to his post, he requires the rental girlfriend to be:
- pretty
- has to be between 160 to 165cm in height
- must be the eldest daughter of the family
- does not wear heavy makeup
- she must be thin
- “I need her to help me pack my stuffs, as I’m too lazy to do it myself.”
- knows how to handle ‘makcik-makcik bawang’
- knows her way in the kitchen
- someone who isn’t “Kepochi”
In the caption, he claimed that the post is “only part of content”. That said, Boss Ketam’s post was met with huge backlash from the netizens. Most of them slammed him for being too demanding. “Is he actually looking for a maid?” one netizen questioned. “He only demands for pretty-faced ladies,” one commenter remarked. Meanwhile, another commenter told him to look in the mirror.
As seen in his subsequent posts on TikTok, it seems like Boss Ketam is continuing his trend of #stayingtoxic. Whatever that means…
