For most people, you don’t usually get paid much when you’re just starting out in your career, especially if you have no educational background or experience in a any field. Job hunting is fine as you have plenty of choices out there but passing job interviews? Now that can be terrifying.
Fresh grads have to prove their worth during interviews and even if you are the best candidate, it doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll be paid well. Iqbal Zulkefli recently shared his job interview experiences (sort of) and how he got offered a lot of money even before finishing his Diploma!
Entrepreneur and singer Iqbal Zulkefli recently posted on his Insta story asking his followers to ask him questions on anything they may be curious about. The “Hujan” singer, who was once in a relationship with Dato’ Seri Vida, shared his answer to a netizen asking him about job interviews.
The netizen asked the 27-year-old about his first job interview experiences and if he has any advice he could give to his followers. “Before working as a marketing officer, I’ve worked with 10 companies (mostly in the marketing field). Before finishing my Diploma, I was already offered jobs at these companies with over RM5k worth of salary,” he answered.
The young entrepreneur then went on to saying that although he is not the best, he believes it’s all about communication and being confident in handling things one is capable of. “Our people are very talented and skilled but they’re just shy. Insha Allah, I will share interview tips if more people are interested to know,” he added.
Apart from the interview question, the controversial celebrity sarcastically answered a hater’s question asking when he will stop doing dumb things to which he replied with, “It will be a while before I stop as I’m only level 1. Maybe at level 10. Don’t worry, if you ever do business with me, it will be taken seriously.”
Iqbal did not go into full detail about how he got offered the RM5k salaries and has yet to share his job interview tips but we’re very curious to know how he got offered these jobs even before finishing his studies. Guess we’ll have to wait and find out.
