All you Malaysian folks who are looking to retire abroad may want to reconsider your decision as you probably don’t have look any further.

International Living (IL) has released their Top 10 Best Places To Retire in the world and Malaysia has come in 6th, and is the only Asian nation in the list. The compilation is done based on surveys of each country’s cost of living, retiree benefits, climate, and healthcare.

As per IL, Malaysia is clean, modern, and boasts efficient public transport. “In Malaysia, you’ll get the best street food, restaurants and cafés in the region, and some interesting architecture that is unlike any other. The food is not just first class, it’s world class, and the shopping in Kuala Lumpur and Penang, where I live, is to die for. From state of the art air-conditioned shopping centres to colourful night markets, Malaysia has it all,” said IL Malaysia correspondent Keith Hickton.

On top of the stunning beaches, islands, and rain forests, we have no less than 4 UNESCO world heritage sites (the Lenggong Valley, the Gunung Mulu National Park, Kinabalu Park, and the cities of George Town and Malacca).
