What a way to celebrate the month of July!
After SM Entertainment announced that Girls’ Generation will be making a comeback with a new studio album this month, Woollim Entertainment announced that INFINITE is ready for a comeback as well. Prior to INFINITE’s comeback, the talent agency teased the boys’ comeback concept by releasing the first teaser image that featured all 7 members of the group.
On Wednesday (1st July), Woollim posted the teaser image on multiple social networking sites and shared a link to the website for the boys’ upcoming comeback. The text in the teaser image, which reads “Reality”, seems to suggest that it will be the title of their new album. The talent agency also plastered a connect-the-dots image on their infamous “infinity” logo as well.
A music industry official earlier revealed that the boy group has been recording songs for their new album and are undergoing preparations for their 2nd world tour, “2015 INFINITE 2nd WORLD TOUR – INFINITE Effect”. The tour will kick off on 8th and 9th August 2015 at the Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium in Seoul.
Similar to their 1st world tour “One Great Step”, the group will be touring around the world to perform for their fans. The tour schedule has yet to be released.
The new album release will mark INFINITE’s first comeback in a year. The members have been focusing on their solo activities since releasing “Be Back” as a group in July 2014.
Earlier in May, leader Sunggyu made his solo comeback with his 2nd solo album titled “27” while Hoya and Dongwoo made a comeback as hip hop duo INFINITE H with their 2nd album titled “Fly High” in January. INFINITE F (made up of members Sungyeol, L, and Sungjong) also made their Korean debut with a single album titled “Azure” last December.
L is currently starring in SBS drama “The Time We Were Not In Love” and Sungjong recently joined the line-up of MBC’s popular military training program “Real Men”.
