Get ready to fall in love with “In The Mood For Love In Concert”! The Wong Kar Wai masterpiece is brought to life in stunning full HD on the big screen, accompanied by a live symphony orchestra performing the soundtrack in perfect sync.

The concert is presented by Base Entertainment Asia and will take the stage at Sands Theatre, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore on 24th and 25th October 2026 (Saturday and Sunday). Performances are scheduled for 2pm and 8pm on Saturday and 1pm on Sunday. Tickets are now available for sale via SISTIC, Klook and the Marina Bay Sands website.

Renowned for its poetic storytelling and sumptuous visuals, “In the Mood for Love” is one of the most exquisitely beautiful films ever made. Featuring an emotionally resonant score by composer Shigeru Umebayashi, this fully restored classic is reimagined as an immersive cinematic-concert experience unlike any other. “In the Mood for Love” is hailed for its poetic storytelling and poignant exploration of romance, and its timeless aesthetic continues to captivate audiences in Singapore, inspiring special screenings and creative tributes that celebrate its enduring emotional and visual impact.

Chief Executive Officer of Base Entertainment Asia, Chantal Prudhomme, said, “In the Mood For Love In Concert allows audiences to experience this beloved film in a completely new way, with live music heightening every emotion on screen and celebrating the award-winning performances of cinema legends Maggie Cheung and Tony Leung. Acclaimed internationally for honouring Wong Kar Wai’s masterpiece, the production reveals new emotional depth through the power of a live orchestra. Bringing this concert to Singapore is especially meaningful for us. With Joshua Tan leading the BASE  Philharmonic Orchestra, the film’s exquisite score is brought to life with sensitivity and precision. His  musical insight and international experience, together with the artistry of our local musicians, make  this not only a celebration of a cinematic classic, but a proud moment for Singapore and its audiences.”

The concert will feature the BASE Philharmonic Orchestra, comprising talented local musicians, under the baton of Joshua Tan, Singapore’s own internationally celebrated conductor. Tan is celebrated for his versatility across symphonic, operatic, ballet, film, and multimedia repertoire, and has conducted orchestras around the world, including the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra,  and Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. His leadership of the BASE Philharmonic Orchestra ensures that Wong Kar Wai’s masterful soundtrack will be rendered with exquisite precision and artistry. He said, “I am very thrilled to be a part of this performance. Experiencing such a masterpiece with a live orchestra is something that cannot be missed. Words cannot adequately describe how much more  of an elevated experience it is with live music.”

Witness the beauty and longing of Wong Kar Wai’s masterpiece unfold, with every note of Shigeru  Umebayashi’s hauntingly beautiful score performed live by Singapore’s finest musicians, perfectly synchronised with the film, for an unforgettable cinematic-concert experience. Here are the details:
