There has been a concerning rise in reports of celebrity deaths, though thankfully, some have turned out to be false. While it is not entirely new for rumours to circulate about a star’s death, such fake news can still cause panic and distress to their loved ones, particularly if they come across the headlines on social media.
A rumour recently circulated online claiming that Malaysian-born celebrity entrepreneur Nur Sajat had died in a hospital in the United Kingdom. The public figure responded to one of those social media posts and took to social media to address the situation. Here’s what she said:

Recent posts on Facebook suggested that an individual named Sajjad had died in a hospital in London, United Kingdom. Nur Sajat, whose real name is Sajjad Kamaruz Zaman, responded to one of these posts, writing, “Excuse me, bitch, why did you say I was dead? You bastard!” She then shared a screenshot of her reply on Instagram to deny the rumours.
“I’m still ALIVE, okay? Healthy and working in Australia. The news that I died in London is just SLANDEROUS! Don’t commit sins for content. Please delete this now!” she captioned the post. Many of her followers and celebrity friends were surprised to see such headlines, condemning news outlets that seemingly use her name to attract attention. Others suggested that the reports might have referred to a different individual with the same name.

Some found the businesswoman’s reaction humorous, as this was not the first time she had had to address such rumours. Over the years, there have been several reports and social media posts claiming that Sajat had died due to illness or accidents while living or travelling abroad, and each time the news went viral, she had to respond. It’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt, so let this be a reminder to not spread false stories, especially something as tragic as death.
