Cosmetic procedures in the entertainment industry are nothing out of the ordinary, especially in Hollywood. A few of our local celebrities have even admitted to having work done on parts of their face, although it doesn’t always end well.
That said, most of these public figures, both local and international, who have undergone such procedures are women. Entrepreneur and singer Iqbal Zulkefli is one of the few male celebrities to have revealed that he plans to undergo surgery on his nose as well as a hair transplant. Here’s what he said:
Over the weekend, Iqbal Zulkefli took to his Instagram Story to ask followers for recommendations on which country offers the best cosmetic procedures, as he plans to undergo them as soon as possible. This sparked concern among netizens, who argued that he has no real need for such surgeries and reminded him that they are prohibited in Islam.
The public figure later posted a follow-up story, saying he would explain everything once he had met with his doctor regarding the procedures. At the time, he was still deciding whether to travel to Thailand, South Korea or Shanghai to proceed with his plans, adding that money was not an issue as he was looking for the best in the field to perform the surgeries.
On Monday (20th October), Iqbal revealed that he was on his way to Shanghai for a week to undergo nose surgery and a hair transplant. He reassured fans that he is well aware of their concerns and will explain everything to them in due course.
Although it is possible, depending on a person’s health, safety and the severity of the procedures, it remains unclear whether the star will undergo both surgeries simultaneously or on separate occasions. Regardless, it is ultimately his choice whether he undergoes the procedures for health or aesthetic reasons.
