Singer and actress Bella Astillah has denied rumours that she is set to walk down the aisle with politician Syed Saddiq anytime soon. Her response came after speculation was sparked by her sister, Didi Astillah, who had made a lighthearted remark online.
In a TikTok video, one user joked, “I was shocked to hear about Fattah and Amira getting married. Now I’m starting to get nervous. It’s just that a while back, I made a statement that if BASS got married, I’d climb Mount Kinabalu.” Didi cheekily replied, “There’s nothing wrong with starting a little training now,” which quickly fueled assumptions that Bella and Syed might indeed be preparing for marriage.

Bella explained that her sister’s comment was spontaneous and meant purely as a joke in response to netizens, not a serious statement about her personal life. “I was shocked when the news came out. My sister never made any official statement about my marriage. She likes to joke around and reply to comments, but I didn’t expect her response to become a headline and attract so much attention,” the star said during a press conference for Muzikal Lawak Superstar yesterday (23rd September 2025, Tuesday).
When asked if she felt weary of the ongoing “BASS” phenomenon, the “Lebih Indah Berpisah” singer clarified that her closeness with the politician is strictly work-related. However, she still asked fans to keep her in their prayers. “I can’t say I don’t mind because it’s part of my work. I’m always thankful to Primavalet for the collaboration with Syed Saddiq. Please pray for the best,” she shared.

Fans, however, have been eagerly speculating about Bella’s love life, especially after seeing other celebrity couples like Fattah Amin and Amira Othman happily settling into marriage. Many even hope that they will be the next pair to tie the knot.
From music video teasers to her appearance on ERA FM, the rumours surrounding the duo have been endless, keeping their names consistently in the spotlight. For now, all we can do is wish the best for them both.
