Over the long weekend, many flock to the Bukit Bintang area to take advantage of the CNY holiday. However, something else happened there over the weekend, leaving netizens questioning what had caused the incident.
Recently, Instagram user @/erzuanaamr shared a couple of videos through her Instagram Stories, showing a group screaming in front of the H&M store at Lot10 Shopping Centre in Bukit Bintang. In the first video, the group seemed to have been locked out of the store by staff and were kicking the door to gain entry. They threatened the staff to open the door for them as a group of passersby crowded around the store.

In the second video, cash notes could be seen littered on the ground, believed to have been thrown by the group. The group continued arguing with the store staff and kicking the door to taunt them. They then began picking up the cash from the ground before one of them yelled out, “I’m a transwoman from overseas”. The video then cuts off so it is unknown what happened after the incident.
The video was then shared on social media, gaining traction and questions from netizens. Many criticised the group for causing a scene in public, but some were also curious about what caused the fight. While unconfirmed, one netizen revealed that the group were locked out of the store because they were suspected of shoplifting in other malls in the Kuala Lumpur area. As a precaution, store staff prohibited the group from entering the H&M store, leaving the group unhappy.

After the video went viral, two of the group released a video on Instagram to clarify the issue. According to the video, one of the three got caught stealing from a store and the other two at the scene to rectify the matter. However, they did not mention the incident at the H&M store in Lot10 but claimed they had resolved the issue.
