Major Lazer’s latest release sure is powerful!
In March, Diplo, Jillionaire and Walshy Fire, known together as Major Lazer announced the release of their third album “Peace Is The Mission” which featured a star-studded lineup including Ellie Goulding, Madonna, Gwen Stefani and more. The album, which was released on June 1st also includes the smash hit “Lean On” featuring DJ Snake and MØ.
Today, after much anticipation, the music video for “Powerful”, a collaboration with Ellie Goulding and Tarrus Riley has been released and boy, it sure is powerful! Featuring a smooth, soothing vibe but also hard hitting beats, the track truly showcases the versatility and strength of Ellie’s vocals which matches perfectly with Tarrus’ vocals.
Directed by James Slater, the video opens with Ellie sitting in a diner where she displays telekinetic powers before it moves on to focus on Tarrus who also shares the same powers. Together, the duo stir up a storm in the diner before driving off to infinity.
Also featuring mini cameos of Major Lazer appearing on a blurry Television screen, “Powerful” is bound to be another hit by Major Lazer.
