Disclosure and Sam Smith latches on to us with an omen.
British house-pop duo Disclosure have a new album in the works and their latest single features the vocals of an old friend. The duo recently released the new music video for “Omen” the Sam Smith collaboration off their upcoming second album “Caracal“. The track reunited Disclosure and Smith, who featured on the duo’s 2012 single “Latch” which became a breakout hit for both artistes.
Continuing where they left of with “Latch”, the latest single showcases Smith’s stunning vocals once again atop some sensual yet moody Disclosure beats. “Omen” makes for the second instalment in director Ryan Hope’s four-chapter dystopian saga that kicked off with the album first single “Holding On” a collaboration with Gregory Porter. “Omen” picks up from where that video left off, with rebel Mariela visiting a packed, exclusive dance club in Mexico City..
The video which features Smith making an attendance, sees him crooning the song amongst the dancing masses while a mysterious tattoo artist hones her craft on the floor. With the first two videos of Hope’s four-chapter saga being rather exquisite, it’s rather safe to say that Disclosure’s highly anticipated album is going to be a gem.
