Undoubtably one of the most influential and exciting DJ/producer at the moment, Diplo has approved a new collaboration of tracks. From working with Skrillex on Jack Ü to breaking into the Korean music scene by collaborating with CL at the Korea’s Style Icon Awards, the 36-year-old Los Angeles based DJ together has recently released a new Mad Decent collaboration and it is insane.
Diplo’s brainchild and the label’s offshoot imprint, Jeffrees, dropped their “What Is A Jeffree?” project which features 12 tracks from a number of the label’s emerging DJs and producers including JSTJR, Happy Colors, NYMZ, Ape Drums, and many more. The compilation features larger-than-life, slow-mo trap, to manic Caribbean beats, giving listeners a huge range of up-front club music while managing to stay album worthy.
Boredom is not an option with this compilation, especially when it comes to “Party Diving”, a highlight of the compilation from Russian producer 813. The track cues up destructively cheese vocals on cinematic string arrangements before giving EDM fans an unexpected banger.
