Wait, are we already in the last week of April? Time sure flies when we’re enjoying ourselves – hope you’re feeling the same way too. One whole month has passed and we’re getting closer and closer to the Hari Raya celebration!

For this week’s Hype Picks, let’s go out with a bang! Bringing you a new cafe for you to enjoy with your friends and family, fun events that you don’t want to miss out on and a little something for you “Genshin Impact” and BTS fans out there!

1. The Lemon Tree

Location: Menara Lien Hoe, Tropicana

The Lemon Tree is a new café in town that has been grabbing the headlines everywhere thanks to its yellow and bright aesthetics and delicious food. This newly opened cafe is a beautiful, new 1700-square foot café bathed in bright, warm interior hues inspired by the lemon tree itself.

2. Genshin Impact & Tealive

Location: Designated Tealive outlets

Ad astra abyssosque Travellers! Tealive and the popular video game “Genshin Impact” are collaborating for this fun little contest. Stand a chance to win some Tealive vouchers and Primogems (in-game currency)! Even if you’re not there for the contest, then you’d still get the opportunity to take a photo with the standees of the Kamisato siblings; Kamisato Ayato and Kamisato Ayaka!

3. Miaow Miaow New Flame Series

In the mood for a burst of fiery tang in your mouth that will leave you wanting more? Look no further as Miaow Miaow introduces four new mouth-watering packs of tantalising flavours under the Flame series, which include the Sambal Balado and Curry BBQ Flavoured Prawn Crackers, as well as the Korean Spicy Flavoured Prawn Crackers and Cuttlefish Crackers.

Hari Raya is just around the corner so get yourself in the mood by checking out this event at LaLaport BBCC! Even if you might have missed out on some of the activities for this event, it’s still not too late to check it out for you to prepare to bring something back for Hari Raya!

2. 1502 Art & Craft Market

Time: 10am – 8pm

Location: Seri Kembangan

This is for all you artsy fans out there. Come and check out some handmade arts & crafts products like tattoos, jewellery, clay earings, sustainable personal care products and many more. Who knows, it might even inspire you to try your hands on these crafts and start your own business.

3. Animal Island

Do you guys like cute animals? Ever wanted to see them up close or maybe even hold them? Now’s your chance! In case you didn’t know, there’s an animal island in Selangor at the Amverton Cove Golf & Island Resort. Not a bad place to go for a weekend getaway with the family right?

4. Raya LED Light Show

Date: From 15th April

Location: Pavilion Bukit Jalil

Fee: Adults = RM10, Children (12 years & below) = RM5, Children (3 years & below) = Free.

Hari Raya is all about bright colours! The more striking the ‘baju raya’, the better. But other than the colours for ‘baju  raya’, you can also check out this cool light show happening soon at Pavilion Bukit Jalil. Light up your Ramadan and Raya with a magical, glittering world of mesmerising LED lights with special decorations!

5. TREX Bike Park

Time: 10am – 7pm (Tuesday – Saturday), 10am – 8pm (Sunday)

Location: Puncak Alam Eco Grandeur

While this is not really an event but it could be an eventful day for you and your family! If you’re the sporty type then bring your own bike and head on over to Puncak Alam Eco Grandeur. The entire course looks amazing and wide and even though it’s just 2km long, there’s lot of routes and combinations for you to try out.

6. East-West Connection (Heritage Walk in Kuala Lumpur)

Date: 1st May (Sunday)

Time: 9:30am – 11:30am

Location: Cosmo Hotel Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur is not just a modern city full of new buildings. The city also has a lot of historical buildings that every Malaysian should learn more about. So how about take a tour around our own backyard and learn the history of some of these locations? But be sure to book your slots now before it’s too late!
