Huawei Watches & MatePad Series Launch
We were on hand for Huawei Malaysia’s launch of the brand’s latest innovations – the Huawei Watch Ultimate, Huawei Watch GT Series, Huawei Watch D2 and new updates to the Huawei MatePad Series – and were blown away.
The event showcased each of the watches’ features and their remarkable fitness and tracking capabilities, golf-focused features, and real-time blood pressure monitoring, among others. Meanwhile, the Huawei MatePad Series was updated with a range of elements, including captivating batik designs. Here’s what went down at the launch:

Kylie Jenner’s Kylie Cosmetics Launch
After years of waiting, Kylie Cosmetics was finally launched in Malaysia – and we were among the first to lay our eyes on its range of goodies. The beauty brand founded by Kylie Jenner has come a long way since its beginnings in 2015, and fans in Malaysia can finally enjoy the brand’s lineup, from lip products to foundations and highlighters.
During the launch, we got to try what the brand offers for the Malaysian market, including its beloved liquid lipsticks and lip pencils. We also got to experience Kylie Cosmetics’ Cosmic Eau De Parfum in all of its glory with the experiential room, which was a delight for the eyes and the nose. After the official launch, guests hit the dance floor, accompanied by the music of the Malaysian all-female music collective, Cherry Bomb.
Kylie Cosmetics is now available in Sephora MY stores nationwide and online on the Sephora website and app.

Skechers Basketball Arrives In Malaysia
The highly-anticipated Skechers Basketball collection is now here in Malaysia, and we were there to give it a warm welcome. The collection comprises four new pairs, with each version specially designed for various positions and playstyles that will help you play and conquer the court! From the rock-solid SKX League High to the speedy SKX Nexus, there’s a pair for those looking to unleash the champion within them.
To celebrate the collection’s arrival, Skechers Malaysia hosted a special exhibition match between the Malacca Basketball Club and Taylor’s Basketball in a friendly 3v3 game at 1 Utama Shopping Centre. Skechers also announced that it is now the official footwear sponsor of the Malacca Basketball Club.

The Crayon Shin-Chan Experience Opens
The Crayon Shin-Chan Experience at Pavilion Bukit Jalil, running until 10th December 2024, offers fans an interactive journey, blending Shin-Chan’s cheeky charm with the vibrant art of Van Gogh. We swung by the unique exhibition and enjoyed themed food at the ACO Lab Anime Café, snapped fun photos in immersive zones, and explored exclusive merchandise.

Star Academy National Finals 2024
We were on hand when Jason Dennis D’cruz from Te Amo, representing KL/Selangor, was crowned Malaysia’s top bartender at the 2024 Star Academy National Finals at Chateau DC Sky Forest in Bandar Utama. The champ beat competitors from Sabah, Sarawak, KL/Selangor, Johor, Penang, and Perak to clinch the win and a spot at the Heineken® Global Bartender Finals in Amsterdam, the home of Heineken®, for the ultimate title: Heineken® World’s Best Bartender.
Jimmy Ding, Sales Director of Heineken Malaysia, said: “2024 is a record-breaking year for participation. iORA launched its newest and largest store in Malaysia, an outlet which stands as a true testament to the brand’s evolution. Located at 1 Utama Shopping Centre, the expansive 11,000 sq ft. space was meticulously designed to embody a perfect blend of classic and contemporary elements, while offering a unique shopping experience that resonates with the modern woman.
