Horror fans, get ready. “The Conjuring: Last Rites”—the record-breaking finale of the iconic paranormal series—starts streaming on HBO Max this 21st November. After smashing records with the biggest global opening for a horror movie ever, this final chapter of Ed and Lorraine Warren’s story is finally coming home.

A Personal Stakes Horror That Hits Close to Home

What sets “Last Rites” apart from previous entries is its deeply personal stakes. While the Warrens have faced countless demons and malevolent spirits throughout the franchise, this case strikes at the very core of their family—targeting their daughter, Judy. Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson return one last time as the renowned paranormal investigators, delivering what promises to be their most emotionally charged performance yet.

Director Michael Chaves, who previously helmed “The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It”, brings his franchise experience to bear in crafting a finale that’s both a love letter to longtime fans and a terrifying standalone experience. The film’s September theatrical release proved that audiences still crave authenticity in their horror, with the real-life basis of the Warren cases continuing to captivate viewers worldwide.

The End of an Era for Horror’s Biggest Franchise

“The Conjuring: Last Rites” represents more than just another horror sequel—it’s the culmination of a cinematic universe that has redefined modern horror since 2013. With this final chapter, The Conjuring officially becomes the highest-grossing horror franchise of all time, a testament to the enduring appeal of James Wan’s vision and the Warrens’ real-life legacy.

The film reunites franchise veterans including producers James Wan and Peter Safran. For fans who’ve followed the Warrens’ journey, this final case promises to deliver the signature scares that made “The Conjuring” a cultural phenomenon.
