South Korean actor Hong Min-Ki (홍민기) is currently embroiled in a major controversy involving serious allegations from his ex-girlfriend. As the controversy grows, his agency continues to deny the ex-girlfriend’s accusations.
To recap, earlier this week, a woman claiming to be Hong Min-Ki’s ex-girlfriend shared a post on social media, accusing the actor of assault and invasion of privacy. The woman, referred to as A, later shared another post, making more claims against the actor, including badmouthing other actors, staff and fans, abusing his pet and making unwanted physical contact after the two broke up.
Following the first set of claims, Hong Min-Ki’s agency, Fable Company, issued a statement denying the allegations. The company then also accused A of stalking the actor, adding that it plans to pursue legal action against her. A would then refute the statement before releasing another set of allegations against Hong Min-Ki, including subjecting her to verbal abuse and gaslighting.
Shockingly, she also accused the actor of pressuring her to undergo an abortion during their relationship. In a now-deleted post, A provided medical records that were purportedly of her using a medication for an early-term medical abortion. She also argued that the company is attempting to portray her as a stalker, adding that she would pursue legal action against Hong Min-ki and Fable Company.
The actor’s agency would issue a second statement, once again denying the allegations. In its latest statement, Fable Company also argued that A faked the pregnancy and abortion claims. The company has since requested obstetric and gynaecological medical professionals to verify the images she shared in her post, noting that the ultrasound photo appears different from those that typically confirm a pregnancy.
Ending its statement, Fable Company said it will no longer respond to A’s claims. Instead, the company will immediately proceed with civil and criminal legal procedures, saying that the controversy has caused severe and irreparable damage to his reputation and image. The agency also asked the public to refrain from making and spreading unverified claims regarding the matter.
