Anita Yuen (袁咏仪), the esteemed Hong Kong actress, has been recently seen in Kuala Lumpur, busy filming her upcoming movie “Mom’s Big News (OMG! 阿妈有喜)”. The 52-year-old actress, known for her warm demeanour, was spotted at Pavilion Bukit Jalil in a casual yet stylish ensemble consisting of a white shirt and brown blazer. Accompanied by her team, she was filming scenes at a baby shop amidst the mall’s bustling atmosphere.
Despite the attention from onlookers, the actress maintained her composure and greeted everyone with a friendly smile, earning praise for her gracious behaviour. “I’m touched by the support and kind words from fans,” said the actress. On Xiaohongshu, a popular Chinese social media platform, netizens were quick to praise her youthful appearance and style.
In “Mom’s Big News,” Anita portrays the character Rita Wong, a middle-aged woman who unexpectedly discovers her pregnancy while she and her husband are planning their retirement. During her time in Malaysia, apart from work, the Hong Kong star also took the opportunity to bond with fellow actors.
She shared meals with Ben Yuen (袁富華), a Golden Horse Award winner also filming in Malaysia, and enjoyed local cuisine like lok-lok with her Malaysian co-star actress Tong Bing Yu (童缤毓), as seen in the IG post below. In an interview with local media, the actress confessed she was a bit worried about Malaysia’s scorching weather at first. “Initially, I was concerned about the heat but after being here for a while, I’ve come to find the weather quite comfortable,” she admitted.
