It was a scary moment for fans of Hong Kong boyband MIRROR after news emerged that member Keung To (姜濤) fell into the sea. Thankfully, he was rescued and treated at the hospital, but that didn’t stop speculations from rising.
According to reports, the incident happened around 4:30pm yesterday (24th June 2025). Local police received a call that a man had fallen into the water near the Western Wholesale Food Market in Sai Wan. The man was later identified as Keung To. The MIRROR vocalist was subsequently rescued by a vessel and brought ashore. He was later transported to Queen Mary Hospital for medical evaluation and treatment.

Following the incident, Keung To shared a few posts through Instagram Stories to assure fans of his well-being. In the first post, the singer explained, “It was just a small accident caused by my own carelessness. I’m fine, so please don’t worry. I hope there won’t be any speculation. I’m truly sorry for causing concern.” In another post, the 26-year-old shared a thumbs-up gesture with the caption, “Don’t need to worry, everyone. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
Keung To’s agency, Makerville, provided more details to clarify the incident. According to the company, the idol was jogging on the Sai Wan waterfront when he felt dizzy and unwell. It was implied that he fainted and fell into the sea by accident. Makerville also said that Keung To has no serious injuries and is now resting. Keung To and his agency also thanked those who helped in the rescue.

Before Makerville issued the statement, there were allegations that the idol had purposely dived into the water. There were also reports that Keung To may have been drunk or consumed pills before the incident, sparking speculations of a suicide attempt. Following the incident, fans and netizens are now rallying support for the singer, sharing uplifting and positive messages on his social media.
Whatever the cause of the incident was, we’re glad Keung To is safe and sound now. He is expected to attend a fan meeting later today (Wednesday, 25th June 2025), so we hope everything goes smoothly. What are your thoughts on this?
