Here Comes the Sun Eater 2024 wasn’t just another concert – it was an emotional rollercoaster that brought fans and their fave indonesian indie bands together like never before.

The spotlight was on two Indonesian powerhouses: Hindia and Lomba Sihir. And here’s the cool part – both bands share the same frontman, Baskara Putra. He’s the voice behind Hindia and also leads Lomba Sihir. On 8th December 2024, fans packed Zepp Kuala Lumpur for an unforgettable night where music and emotions collided.

Hindia started as Baskara’s solo project, but Lomba Sihir originally began as Hindia’s session band. Fast forward, and Lomba Sihir’s got its own identity, dropping their first album “Selamat Datang di Ujung Dunia” in 2021. They’ve been rolling ever since, even collaborating with Hindia as part of the Pentas Sihir project, which became a signature part of their sound.

The venue itself was chef’s kiss perfect for this kind of night. Zepp KL’s spacious layout and killer acoustics gave every note its due, making it feel like you were right there in the moment with the artists, no matter how big the crowd was. The audience was hyped, and their energy only made the whole thing more immersive – you could literally feel the excitement in the air.

Opening Acts That Set The Stage

Before the headliners took over, the night was kicked off by two rad opening acts that got the crowd hyped from the get-go. First up, Sweetass, the Malaysian alt-rock band that’s got the perfect mix of grunge chaos and catchy pop hooks. Their set had everyone hooked right away, with tracks like “Haruan Cina” and “Celaka” pumping up the energy in the room. They were the perfect hype for what was coming next.

Then, Rub of Rub – an Indonesian experimental dub band – brought their wild mix of reggae, psychedelic, jazz, and electronic beats. Their set was a whole vibe, with hypnotic rhythms that had the crowd swaying in a trance. Tracks like “Lepas” blended genres like a dream, and you could feel the excitement build as we all waited for the headliners.

Pentas Sihir: The Magical Fusion Of Hindia & Lomba Sihir

And then… Pentas Sihir took over. This was the collaboration between Hindia and Lomba Sihir that we’d all been waiting for, where the two bands joined forces for a full 2-hour set that felt like pure magic. The setlist was fire!, effortlessly blending iconic tracks from both acts. From Lomba Sihir’s experimental jams like “Hati dan Paru-Paru” and “Nirrrlaba” to Hindia’s heartfelt ballads like “Evaluasi” and “Rumah ke Rumah,” every song hit differently, and you could feel how deeply the crowd connected with each note.

This wasn’t just a performance – it was a whole emotional experience. Tracks like “Mata Air” and “Berdansalah, Karir Ini Tak Ada Artinya” had people singing along like we were all going through the same memories, emotions, and life lessons. It was clear this wasn’t just a concert – it was a celebration of the beautiful mess that is life, love, and memory.

The Crowd’s Collective Therapy Session

From start to finish, the crowd wasn’t just “there” – they were “living” the music. Fans belted out every word, making it clear that this wasn’t just another night out – it was a full-on reunion of people who all felt something deep in their souls through these songs.

Martell Noblige Swift Festival 2025: Epic Beats, Next-Level Cocktails & DJ SVGGY FTW!

The connection between the fans and the music was undeniable, especially with tracks like “Rumah Ke Rumah” and “Evaluasi.” These songs have basically become anthems for anyone who’s been on a journey of personal growth. The whole vibe? Think collective therapy session – but with way better music. The crowd swayed and sang together, showing just how much these artists’ lyrics have touched their listeners.

Here Comes the Sun Eater 2024 was exactly what it promised to be – a night of pure magic. With an incredible lineup, fans that brought the energy, and a venue that delivered, this was an experience that’ll stick with us for years. Pentas Sihir was, without a doubt, the most unforgettable part of the night. Their seamless blend of sounds and emotional connection with the crowd made this performance one for the books.

For everyone lucky enough to be there, Here Comes the Sun Eater 2024 wasn’t just an event – it was a shared experience. A celebration of life, music, and all the feels that come with it. And just like the killer performances that filled the room, this night will be a memory that lingers long after the last chord was played. We know because we haven’t moved on yet – it’s that unforgettable.
