You better watch out, You better not cry, You better not pout, I’m telling you why: Hello Kitty is coming to town!

Sorry, Santa Claus. You might want to step up your Christmas game because the world’s most popular cat (or non-cat) and classic character, Hello Kitty, is set to invade Kuala Lumpur with her Sanrio buddies this December. Dubbed as the biggest and most exciting Hello Kitty event, “HELLO KITTY GO AROUND!! IN MALAYSIA” will be happening from 19th December 2015 to 19th January 2016 at VIVA Home Expo.

Hello Kitty Go Around in Malaysia

From Sanrio Hello Kitty Town in Johor to a Hello Kitty vending machine at Avenue K to the upcoming Hello Kitty gourmet cafe in Sunway Pyramid, Malaysian Hello Kitty fans are bound to break into a frenzy during the “HELLO KITTY GO AROUND!! IN MALAYSIA” event. Even if you’re not a Hello Kitty fan, this one-of-a-kind event is a fully interactive family fun experience, which makes it suitable for all ages.

Hello Kitty and her Sanrio friends have been putting smiles on the faces of fans from all over the world since the introduction of Hello Kitty in 1974. Continuing on this long-standing tradition, “HELLO KITTY GO AROUND!! IN MALAYSIA” hopes to be a platform for fans to gather, celebrate, and create wonderful memories with Hello Kitty.

Adopting a vintage American evening carnival theme, the fair is divided into different zones that are designed to transport fans back to the sweet old days of Hello Kitty’s life. The atmosphere throughout the carnival promises to invoke a sense of nostalgia and family bonding via interactive activities that are reminiscent of old-school charm and traditions.

Jane Chan, Chief Executive Officer from Hey Day Sdn Bhd, the official licensee and main organiser of “HELLO KITTY GO AROUND!! in Malaysia”, said:

“HELLO KITTY GO AROUND!! IN MALAYSIA” promises to be an enjoyable experience for everyone. From the themed ticketing booth at the entrance to the variety of Hello Kitty inspired carnival games and workshops – we believe that this event will help bring families closer by giving them an opportunity to do something interactive and fun together, especially during the school holidays year end. In addition to these activities, we are thrilled to be able to announce today, that Hello Kitty herself will be making special appearances on selected dates during the carnival. This is in large part due to requests we have received from the countless Hello Kitty fans here in Malaysia.

The kick off for “HELLO KITTY GO AROUND!! IN MALAYSIA” saw Hello Kitty herself flag-off 20 Hello Kitty branded cars in the Klang Valley. Jane added that this is just one of the various advertising and promotional campaigns that has been planned surrounding the event which will happen from now until 19th January 2016.
