Revenge is a dish best served cold. For this groom-to-be in China, he decided the best time to serve revenge on a silver platter was on his wedding day. Needless to say, he left quite the mess in his wake.
This groom unfortunately discovered his then-fiancé cheating on him with another man prior to the wedding. Rather than confronting her, he decided to expose her deeds in public on their wedding day. It certainly made the ceremony memorable!
According to a video, which has since been removed, it showed the hall of a hotel in Guangdong, China. Groups of people could be seen seated around tables in the hall, clearly excited for the ceremony. However, everything changed when a video started playing on the screen in the hall.
The video showed the bride-to-be having sex with a man, who was not the groom, in a hotel. From the angle of the video, it was suspected that the video had been shot in secret. The footage left many speechless.
The bride was furious and embarrassed as she realized her social life was over while her family was shamed. The wedding was immediately cancelled and the two families reportedly stopped talking to each other.
However, while some netizens praised the groom’s actions, others felt it overly petty. “What right does he have to broadcast other people’s private videos?” a netizen reportedly asked. “If he doesn’t want to maintain the marriage, (he should) just terminate the engagement.”
There’s no denying that some people find revenge satisfying. However, the consequences might sometimes be beyond our control. What do you think? Was the groom right to expose his fiancé on his wedding day? Or should he have been more merciful?
