Tired of taking public transport yet too lazy to drive? Need to go somewhere nearby but don’t want to sweat in this crazy hot Malaysian weather? ‘Fret not, Grab has the solution.
GrabHitch, Grab’s social carpooling movement, will be offering free rides for users the whole day tomorrow (Friday, 28th July) within the Klang Valley! And by whole day, we mean WHOLE DAY, which starts from midnight and ends at 11:59pm.
Wanna know how to grab (pun intended!) yourself a free ride? Just follow these simple steps:
- Tap on the Hitch icon in the Grab App.
- Key in your key pick up point and drop off point.
- Select the time which you want to be picked up.
- Remember to key in promo code GHFREE!
- Book and wait for a friendly driver to accept your ride.
However, as they are everyday commuters like you and me, don’t be shy to take the front seat and strike up conversation with them! Treat them as a friend and always be grateful, as they most probably went out of their way to pick you up so that you can save time on yours 🙂
Take note that each passenger is only limited to 2 free rides, and the rides are only valid up to RM30. Any additional fare beyond that will be borne by the passenger. Also, remember to book in advance, either the night before or a few hours earlier, as Grab is expecting insane demand for the free rides.
GrabHitch is Grab’s affordable option for daily commute that aims to help reduce congestion and pollution. The company also hopes that their initiative would help Malaysians make new friends along the way.
