Working as a food delivery rider is hard work when ensuring that the food arrives safely in the hands of the customers. However, many delivery riders have shared their memorable experiences while on duty.
From the many stories heard from delivery riders such as entertaining customer’s antics to delivering food to the house of local celebrities, this GrabFood delivery rider got to deliver his orders directly to former Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Muhammad.

The video was uploaded recently by Tun Dr Mahathir’s assistant, Adam Mukhriz on TikTok. The video displayed a GrabFood delivery rider being greeted by none other than Tun Mahathir himself at the front door. The rider was visibly surprised and flustered upon seeing the former Prime Minister and greeted him at the door while handing over the order. Tun Mahathir was heard asking the rider something to which he answered that he had received three orders for the day.
In this regard, many netizens expressed their envy that the rider unexpectedly got to handle Tun Mahathir’s orders. Many also commented on their respect for the 96-year-old nation statesman and some even shared their previous experience meeting the humble former Prime Minister.
It is not everyday that we get to meet respectable politicians like Tun Dr Mahathir and this was probably a special moment for the Grab rider.
