When it comes to being judged for appearances, Hong Kong actress Gillian Chung (钟欣潼, 阿娇) is no stranger to it. In fact, netizens previously claimed that Gillian looked “fat and short” during the Shanghai Fashion Week last month!
Unfortunately, it seems criticism over Gillian’s appearance has yet to die down. Just recently, Gillian uploaded photos of herself at an event. While most praised her beauty, some claimed she actually looked stockier in real life. A few even shared full-bodied photos of her to prove their point!
On 20th April, Gillian Chung shared photos of herself at Italian fashion fine jeweler Pomellato’s event. The 42-year-old had worn a long black gown with a slit that hugged her figure. Paired with pieces from Pomallato’s Nudo collection, Gillian cut a stunning and sophisticated figure.
Most netizens were quick to coo over how elegant and charming Gillian looked. But, a few changed their tune after someone uploaded photos of Gillian Chung simply passing by. Many still agreed that Gillian’s beauty was undisputable. But, several again felt that the gown made her look shorter than she really was.
Additionally, some felt her figure in her modelling photos did not match her looks in candid photos. Despite the actress supposedly looking skinny, a few felt she still looked rather stocky. But that did not affect her fans, who continued to insist that Gillian Chung had a perfect appearance, especially with her well-chosen hairstyle and makeup.
