The phrase, “Make yourselves at home” is only a saying to be polite but most people don’t really mean it whenever they have guests over (unless you’re super close with someone). Since it is your house, your guests have to abide by your rules. Some rules may be too strict or too unusual but as an outsider, you can either follow or simply leave the premise.
Speaking of unusual house rules, some hosts don’t appreciate it if you come in without greeting their pets or if your clothes don’t match the colour of their walls. But would you be willing to strip if that was one of the house rules set by the host? Apparently, this is the case for this former pop star.
During a now-deleted interview on the “Chop Chop Show”, former member of Taiwanese boyband 5566, Sam Wang (王紹偉) revealed that he has a certain rule about his bedroom or more specifically about his bed. The 45-year-old will not allow his guest to sit nor lie in his bed with their clothes on. That’s right, if you want to sit on the former pop star’s bed, you’re going to have to strip naked.
This is because the Taiwanese celeb is very particular about the cleanliness of his bed and clothes. He recalled that he sternly objected to an ex sitting on his bed. He explained to her that he usually sleeps nude or changes into sleepwear before bed after a shower. Guests wearing outdoor clothes are not allowed to go near his bed. “There are only two ways to resolve this problem: Either you leave my bed or you take off your clothes,” he told her.
The “Chop Chop Show” hosts were surprised by the revelation and even jokingly called the actor a pervert. Sam then reassured everyone that his guests would later understand his reason. When asked if the same rule applies to men who visit his home, he answered that he’d rather not have them enter his room at all.
During the same interview, the actor also revealed that he has never done his own laundry his entire life despite being 45 years old. Apparently, his mother has been always been the one to wash his clothes. This information shocked both the TV hosts and the audience but the former 5566 member explained his reliance on his parents is just an excuse for them to see each other often.
He elaborated that he wanted to buy his own washing machine but couldn’t due to his busy schedule so his mother would offer to wash his clothes for him. Despite his explanation, the show’s host isn’t hopeful about Sam finding a life partner.
