Garmin Ltd has added their brand new Fenix 6 collection to its line-up of signature wrist wears.
4 new models have been announced for the series – the Fenix 6, Fenix 6S, Fenix 6X, and the Fenix 6X Pro Solar.
Out of all the new features, one of the most interesting update is probably the addition of a solar charging lens on one of the smart watches, which is the Fenix 6X Pro Solar. This unique feature is Garmin’s first ever signature collection.
Garmin also introduced the new customisable “Power Manager”, which allows users to control the various settings and sensor for longer battery life. This is especially helpful for power-users that plan to bring the Fenix watches on long adventures. Having the ability to estimate battery life and adjust the settings is essential while on trip.

Additionally, display sizes have also been significantly increased. Fenix 6X watches feature a 1.4-inch display screen which is 36% larger than its previous collection, the Fenix 5X series. As for the Fenix 6X Pro Solar, the smart watch will have topographic maps in it and can store up to 2,000 songs (32GB) for on-the-go listening. The Wi-Fi option also allows for streaming online music services like Spotify and Deezer.
These premium multi-sport GPS watches aren’t just great for vast outdoor activities. The fenix collection is also useful for sport enthusiasts and its “Body Battery” energy monitoring feature helps you see the body’s energy levels anytime, anywhere. These combination of data can give you a good idea of one’s stress level, heart rate variability, sleep and more.
