There’s no doubt that G-Dragon (지드래곤) is the King of K-Pop, and one recent update on his career seems to solidify that claim. According to reports, the star generated an astronomical amount in revenue in 2025, singlehandedly turning a major profit for his agency.
Earlier this week, Galaxy Corporation (Galaxy) released its operating results, providing the public with an overview of its profit in the last year. According to the reports, the company achieved KRW299 billion (approximately RM808 million) in revenue during the fourth quarter of 2025. This amount marked a staggering 619% increase in the company’s revenue compared to the same period in the previous year.

Notably, Galaxy recorded a loss of KRW18.8 billion (approximately RM50.8 million) in 2024. The company also recorded an operating profit of KRW12.5 billion (approximately RM33.78 million), turning around all past deficits in just one year. While the company also manages other artists, it credits the significant profit increase to G-Dragon and his global activities, particularly his “Übermensch” world tour.
The BIGBANG (빅뱅) member embarked on the world tour shortly after releasing his third studio album of the same name. The tour recorded a total of 825,000 fans, with 39 shows in Asia, the United States and Europe, making it the largest tour by a Korean solo act. Experts estimated that the entire tour generated around KRW190 billion (approximately RM513 million) in ticket sales alone.

Not to mention, the tour also sold merchandise and organised pop-up stores in various cities. All in all, G-Dragon’s tour-related sales amount to KRW200 billion (approximately RM532 million). Besides his music and touring activities, the star also generated profits through annual copyright royalties, advertising with luxury brands such as Chanel and Jacob & Co., as well as collaborations with various other brands.
Given how much he can make in a year, it’s no wonder that the industry deems G-Dragon a “walking conglomerate”. Meanwhile, the idol and his fellow BIGBANG members Taeyang (태양) and Daesung (대성) will perform at Coachella later this month, marking another milestone in their careers.
