It’s that time of the year again for K-pop fans – it’s MAMA season! The world’s no.1 K-pop award ceremony is returning for its 2025 edition, promising more exciting and never-before-seen performances.
Co-hosted by CJ ENM and Media Asia Entertainment Limited, this year’s ceremony centres around the concept HEAR MY ROAR: UH-HEUNG, inspired by the tiger, an animal symbolising the strength and spirit of Korea. The two-day event will take place on 28th and 29th November 2025 (Friday and Saturday), at the Kai Tak Stadium, Kai Tak Sports Park in Hong Kong.

Each year, the MAMA Awards celebrate authentic self-expression and the power of music that transcends boundaries, uniting fans from various cultures and regions. There have been many memorable performances at MAMA in its more than two-decade history, so fans are hoping to see more unforgettable scenes this year.
This year, the lineup of performers ranges from new faces to legendary idols. Taking the stage for the first time are CORTIS, IDID, Hearts2Hearts and ALLDAYPROJECT. ALPHA DRIVE ONE, from Mnet’s “Boys II Planet”, will also make their highly anticipated debut. Also set to appear are aespa, IVE, TREASURE, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, Stray Kids and ZEROBASEONE.

K-pop legends G-Dragon and Super Junior will also hold exclusive stages, adding more thrill to the event. With their years of experience, fans wonder what these two acts have to bring to the MAMA stage. Completing the lineup are a list of international acts, including Hong Kong boyband MIRROR, J-pop group JO1 and Japanese dancer Kyoka.
Of course, another highlight of MAMA is the winners of the prestigious awards that will be presented throughout the night. Given all the incredible acts that have made a mark in the past year, many are looking forward to seeing who walks away with the coveted Worldwide Icon of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Artist of the Year awards.

Charming actor Park Bogum and screen legend Kim Hyesoo will host this year’s affair. Fans in Malaysia can livestream the show exclusively on HBO MAX and experience the best of K-pop from the comfort of their own home. Check out the main teaser below:
